The VersaEXPRESS RF-640 is equipped with a gold-plated print head to reduce static and enable high quality imaging. Variable dot control produces droplets of seven different sizes for precise, detailed graphics, excellent photographic reproduction, smooth gradations and superb contrast. Roland Intelligent Pass Control precisely controls dot placement between passes, allowing the VersaEXPRESS RF-640 printer to produce smooth gradations, exceptional solid colors and optimal image quality in all print modes, including higher speeds.

Mirrored Print Head Configuration

To ensure rich, consistent color at speeds of up to 521 square feet per hour, the RF-640 features a dual CMYK, mirrored print head (MYCKKCYM) that delivers rich, vibrant, consistent colors during bi-directional printing.

User-Friendly Features Boost Your Productivity

The RF-640 is ideal for any busy shop environment. Front-loading ink cartridges can be replaced without having to stop and restart the printer. Adjustable media support brackets handle narrow or wide media rolls with ease, while an included take-up system allows for unattended printing with stability at high-speeds. The innovative Roland Ink Switching System allows the printer to automatically switch to a new ink cartridge when the original runs out, providing up to 880 ml of ink per color.

For trouble-free unattended printing, Roland OnSupport delivers e-mail alerts to your computer or smart phone when ink is running low or a job has been completed. The Roland Printer Assist app – free and available for download from the iTunes App Store – enables users to manage common printer functions such as power on/off, test printing and cleaning using an iPad tablet remotely from within the printer network.
